LANDSCAPES OF MEMORY is a series of paintings which explores the power of memories and the
way they transform over time.
These paintings are an investigation of how my mind, memories and imagination interact to
recall how I experience and process the world. The collection evolved out of an interest in how
each person seems to have a different interpretation of the same events. I consciously try to
take in the moments of my experience, being fully present, and work to convey what spoke to
me most about what I was seeing.
I have eliminated any reliance on photographic reference
material and embrace the ephemeral quality of my memories.
This is an ongoing exploration and there are currently approximately 80 works in the series.
